About Tulsa Debate Summer Camp

At policy debate camp students stay busy learning to give speeches, learning to argue, learning how to win competitive debates! Students will start the school year ahead of debaters who did not attend camp. Students will practice debate skills through lessons, research, and actual debate competitions. Students will meet other debaters from their own school and other Tulsa high schools. Open to Policy Debate Students in Grades 7-12.

Debate Camp FAQ

What is a debate camp?

Debate camp is a week long training program for debaters before school starts. The camp will feature experienced coaches who will teach the fundamentals of debate and prepare students for debating on this year’s topic.


Why go to debate camp?

Debate is challenging. Students who attend debate camp will be more prepared to debate when the year starts.


Are meals included?

Yes. Light breakfast and lunch will be served every day and is included in the cost.


What should I bring?

Just pens and paper.
